Can SMP cover FUT (linear strip) scars?
Yes. SMP works very well on FUT linear scars by softening the line and blending follicle detail so the scar is much harder to notice, especially with short haircuts.
Does SMP work on FUE dot scars?
Yes. SMP is one of the best options for camouflaging FUE dot scarring, particularly when the donor area looks patchy or overharvested.
Will the scar be completely gone after SMP?
No. SMP does not remove the scar — it camouflages it. When done correctly, it typically conceals about 80–90%, making the scar unnoticeable to others in everyday situations.
Can I still cut my hair short after SMP scar camouflage?
In most cases, yes. Many clients are able to wear shorter haircuts with much more confidence. Ultra skin fades (#0) may still show some scar texture, which will be discussed during consultation.
Does SMP work on raised or shiny scar tissue?
Raised or shiny scars can be more challenging because pigment may not hold as evenly. SMP can still help, but results depend on scar texture and realistic expectations.
How many sessions are needed to camouflage a transplant scar?
Most scar camouflage treatments take 2–3 sessions, spaced about 7–10 days apart, depending on scar type, size, and skin response.
Will SMP look dark or obvious on a scar?
No—when done correctly. Proper SMP scar camouflage is soft, layered, and blended. Going too dark defeats the purpose and can make scars more noticeable.
Can SMP be blended into existing hair density?
