Smp or Transplant
There is no hair restoration procedure that can actually create more hair. You’ve probably heard of a hair transplant which is a surgical procedure in which hair is removed from the back of your head (donor area) and inserted into either the crown or frontal area. There is also a surgery know as FUE in which one hair follicle is moved directly from the scalp at a time leaving a pattern of missing hair unlike a large scar from the traditional surgery. But it’s a fact that much of the transplanted hair is not permanently retained, so low density remains a problem.
These procedure’s start at $6,000 which is a lot of money to spend on thinning hair. In most cases dr will talk the client into getting another transplant although clients only have a limited amount of donor hair, unless you are just slightly receded multiple surgery’s will not help and the dr usually spreads the hairs far apart to fill in a larger area. By this time you have spent up to $21,000, multiple visible scars and still haven’t received a full head of hair. Scalp micropigmentation can remedy this by shading the scalp and creating a permanent illusion of greater density. I have personally introduced this to hair dr’s and it has become a very successful combination for many client’s. Though Scalp micropigmentation itself successfully create’s a full looking head of hair for those who don’t mind keeping their short. If you want to try a hair transplant your better off getting scalp micropigmentation done beforehand which will limit the amount of surgeries needed.
If you are on the fence about what solution is best for you another great thing about scalp micropigmentation is that it is maintenance and drug free. Hair restorations only work if you use rogaine 3 times a day and take a pill called propecia which causes very bad sexual side affects to 85% of clients causing them to stop taking it and having the donor hair fall out.
